Our Clinic
At Moonee Valley Animal Hospital, our primary aim is the safety of our clients, our staff and our patients.
We have now implemented contactless procedures in line with government recommendations to ensure our safety standards are maintained during the COVID-19 pandemic.
What do you need to do?
Make an appointment as per usual if your pet requires veterinary treatment. Phone us or book online by clicking here to help keep our phone lines free.
If you are UNWELL or are in SELF ISOLATION
The government has advised that you are required to be in LOCKDOWN. DO NOT drive to the clinic with your pet. Please stay at home. Call us and we can work out the best way for us to provide treatment to your pet.
We are now utilizing a DROP OFF POINT.
If you are here for your pet’s appointment – call us. We will advise you when to bring your pet to the drop off point. When instructed by our staff, tether your dog or place your cat in its cat cage in the signed DROP OFF ROOM (Previously our Cat Lounge). You can access via the door to the left of the main door. We will collect your pet, and return to this room for you to collect after the consultation. We will be disinfecting leads and equipment pre and post us contacting your pet.
If you need to collect medication or food for your pets, we ask that you call us when you arrive. Our nurses will instruct you on what to do next.
We ask that you DO NOT ENTER the clinic for any reason.
The consultation will be held over the phone with your Veterinarian. Please also keep in mind that your regular Vet may not be available at this time due to rostering changes.
Payment for your consultation (or food/medication pick up) must be contactless and will be conducted over the phone.
What are we already doing?
To ensure we are doing all we can to protect you and ourselves we have commenced the following:
Our entire staff have been split into 2 teams that do not cross over at any time. This is to ensure continuity of our services if a staff member was to contract Corona Virus. We apologise if you are unable to see your regular Vet or Nurse during this time.
Hand sanitizer stations on entry to the clinic for staff use.
Temperature check and wellness log for every staff member at the commencement of each shift. Staff will stay home if they are in any way unwell.
Increased infection control procedures including cleaning and sanitizing of all surfaces and equipment.
We thank you for assisting us in keeping our community safe and also for continuing to support us through this time.
